There is an extra charge for travel. If you want any other beauty treatments we recommend that facials are done the week before. (The Deluxe OxyJet Facial gives a great result) Manicure's, pedicure's and waxing can be done the day before. Sensitive girls, rejoice! Mineral cosmetics are great for sensitive skin! Traditional liquid foundations contain a plethora of complex and un-natural ingredients that can produce a state of imbalance or irritation in many skin types. Mineral cosmetics are the simplest, most natural and no-reactive form of cosmetics in existence.
Anti-inflammatory!
Two of our ingredients (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide) are anti-inflammatory and actually help to calm the skin. Zinc oxide also has antimicrobial properties. In fact, plastic surgeons and dermatologists routinely recommend mineral makeup to patients who have had laser treatments, microdermabrasion, peels or plastic surgery.
Oil and fragrance-free!
Our powder mineral cosmetics do not contain any oils or fragrances.
Non-comedogenic! With no oils, fragrances, fillers, chemicals or synthetic ingredients, breakouts are few. The light mineral powders allows the skin to breathe naturally and because the molecules of the powder are too large to penetrate into the skin it does not clog the pores.
Natural sunscreen!
Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide offer natural, broad-spectrum sun protection. They reflect light back and provide sun protection to about SPF 20.
Customise your own cosmetics!
Any of our cosmetics can be mixed to create something new. Take our Blushes for example. You can use one to contour the cheek bone and another to accentuate the apple of the cheek. It is important to use blusher because men do not have apples to their cheeks so by using blusher you can draw attention to the most feminine characteristic of your face. Because there are no chemicals in these blushers you can use them around the eye area. Use one as eye-shadow to brighten tired eyes. Create your own lip shade by applying blusher to your lips and then applying the Lip Satin (which is vitamin E and therefore very moisturising) over the top. By mixing minerals, many of our customers have discovered the awakening of a creative side they didn’t even know they had, not to mention a new hobby!
Some of the reasons why our mineral make up is so special:
- It is a powder, foundation, concealer and sun protection all in one
- It contains no talcs or fillers, no f, d & c dyes and no petrochemicals
- Powders are pressed into freeze-dried pharmaceutical vitamins which warm up on the skin and feed the skin with vitamins
- It is healthier for your skin than naked skin because it protects your skin from the sun and pollutants and allows your skin to breathe
- If you should get wet, in the rain or when sweating, just hold a tissue to the skin to absorb the water and the foundation will remain in place
- It is made of molecules from rock minerals which are too large to penetrate into the follicle of the skin and is therefore perfect to use immediately after slightly invasive procedures eg. microdermabrasion, chemical peels or laser resurfacing
- Rocks are inert and cannot carry or harbour infection, making it perfect for use by acne sufferers
- Has practically a zero per cent allergy rating
- Has no talc – which means that the powders do not float and can be safely used by contact lens wearers.
- Many older women shy away from powders because they make the skin dry, settle into fine lines and wrinkles. This cannot happen with this make up because there is no talc in the powder so it will not dry the skin or settle into lines.
- It has lavender based aromatherapy properties which makes it ideally suited for those with sensitive skins or rosacea and will help to calm irritated skin
- It has no sell by or use by date, because it is inert. Unlike conventional make up this means that you can use it even when you have left it in a drawer and rediscovered it months later
- The powders contain two rocks called Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which act as natural sun reflectors, giving the powders the equivalent of about an spf 20
- The powders contain no talc so they will not settle into fine lines and wrinkles and will give skin a natural luminosity. Talc absorbs light and makes skin look dull and flat.
- The powders are so skin healthy that you can sleep in them and are so skin healthy that they can be used on any part of the face – blushers can be used as lipsticks, eye shadows can be used as eye liners. You are only limited by your imagination.
- If you should get hot and sweaty or caught in the rain just hold a tissue to your skin, do not rub. Absorb the water and the make up will remain in place – making it perfect for those using the gym or menopausal women
- Although the powders cannot carry or harbor infection it is important to keep all brushes clean. Brushes can harbor infection. Wash brushes weekly with gentle shampoo. Leaving the brush to air dry.
- When you remove the powders use a white face cloth to see how much remains on your skin; with generic make up most of it is absorbed into your skin.
